Extension of voivodship road no. 278 to a section. Old Strącze – Wschowa

The project consists of the extension of the voivodship road no. 278 on the odc. Old Strącze – Wschowa in Tylewice in km 86+ 200-89 + 685 approx. 3.48 km. It is planned to design a class G voivodeship road with a permissible axle load of 115 kN. As part of the investment, it is planned to rebuild intersections, bus bays and parking spaces, road drainage, lighting, walking-bike paths and redevelopment of pedestrian routes, extension/reconstruction of exits. The investment will be implemented in the formula design and build. The main objective of the project is to improve the region’s external and internal transport accessibility in road traffic. The route analysed is very important in the Lubuskie Voivodeship’s transport system, being an important part of the road traffic. The purpose of the investment during the provincial road no. 278 is to: — ensuring smooth communication with the existing road network of the region, including the TEN-T network – DW278 leads to the S3 express road (Sulachów junction) connecting the A2 motorway and via the DK 12 to the S5 expressway, -improving the safety of road users, -improving traffic conditions, -adjusting the standard of the route to current and planned traffic volumes, -increase the transport accessibility of the region, -ensure a standard of surface capable of transporting vehicles with a load of 115 kN/axle, -improving the operation of tourist traffic, -activation of investment areas and economic development of the region, -reducing environmental and social nuisances, -adapting infrastructure and equipment to the needs of persons with disabilities. The project’s stakeholders are public road users, including residents of Lubuskie Voivodeship, mainly the district of Wschowski and other road users.
