The main objective of the project will be to improve the health of children in early school (classes I-VI) in the Mazowieckie province in the field of spine diseases. The project will build on the long-standing experience of the applicant and partner in paediatrics, orthopaedics and rehabilitation. The project is in line with the RP, in particular as regards: — planned activities, – target group, – experience and competence of the applicant, – the period of support of each programme participant in the main target group, ranging from 3 to 9 months. The project envisages a cycle of therapeutic interventions for 180 children (85K, 95M) with spine diseases. 18 groups of 10 children will be organised and will participate in the project for 9 months in 3 consecutive editions. These activities will include the following forms: motor classes 2 times in a week, manual therapy, medical examinations (pediatrician, orthopedist, physiotherapist). Information and education activities of the supported groups, information and training activities aimed at the medical staff of the POZ, nurses and hygienists from the Mazowieckie Voivodeship are also envisaged. Training for 30 people (29 K and 1 M) will be organised. The training will cover topics related to the diagnosis, prevention and management of children with spine diseases. Another element of the project will be information and education activities for people from the surroundings of children participating in the project, i.e. school staff. These activities will consist of a 4 hour lecture on spine diseases, aimed at a total of 30 people (25 K, 5 M). These activities will be carried out by qualified medical personnel. The final element of the project will be monitoring and evaluation in line with the RP, including examination of project participants 6 and 12 months after the final survey. The applicant’s office will be located in Mazowieckie Voivodeship.
