The project will include a set of tasks carried out in the AO area aimed at contributing to the development of sustainable intermodal mobility and the reduction of emissions of environmentally nuisance pollutants generated by motorised road users, including CO2 reduction. The project will be implemented in an agreement between five municipalities which have concluded a partnership agreement in order to carry out their tasks correctly. The leader of the project is the City of Opole, and the partners of the municipality are: Krapkowice, Prószków, Great and Gogolin. The main object of the project is the construction of a changeover centre at the Opole Main Station, the reconstruction of road infrastructure, in particular the construction of bus bays, and the construction and reconstruction of bicycle paths with lighting. The project implements three types of project (Type 1 construction, reconstruction of publ transport infrastructure in order to reduce road traffic in city centers, Type 2 solutions in the field of organi.movement, facilitating efficient movement of the collective compartment. including (...) bus bays, (...) and Type 4 infr. for cycling and pedestrian traffic). The envisaged tasks will strengthen the links between transport modes, reduce the use of passenger cars, make more efficient use of non-motorised personal transport, reduce pollutant emissions, noise and congestion, and improve road safety. The implementation of the project will be part of an infrastructure and social policy encouraging AO residents to use other modes of transport than cars, taking place in a cleaner and health-friendly environment.
