The object of the project is the reconstruction and revitalisation of the historic Old Market Square, which is part of a broader concept, which contributes to the physicist, gosp. and social regeneration of the old town of Łomża resulting from the Local Revitalisation Programme (LPR) of the City of Łomża in accordance with Resolution 94/IX/19 of the Municipal Council in Łomża. 29.05.2019. In accordance with the decision issued by the conservatory monument in the first stage of project implementation, pre-emptive rescue tests will be carried out. Then work will begin on the reconstruction and revitalisation of the Old Market Square, such as: change of terrain, execution of a post for the monument of Prince Janusz, glass housing of the former foundation. Medieval Town Hall, change of pavement, construction of fountains, introduction of field stairs, level difference in the square, change of stairs and terrace near Hall of Culture,rob. elect.,sanit.,teletech., road and terrain, resistance wall behind the Hall of Culture, small architecture (trash baskets, benches, separating posts, wooden seats). The implementation of the project will contribute to the attractiveness of the degraded areas of the city, the restoration of the historical urban fabric, the improvement of the value of the present and will give them new functions, in addition, it will stimulate activity and influence the cooperation of the middle of the premises to combat the phenomenon of social exclusion. The addressees of the project are people from the regeneration area, residents of the rest of the city and tourists. The main objective of the project is the socio-economic development of the revitalised area by changing the use of the Old Market Square from a commercial function to a cultural and educational function, a social function with the protection and preservation of cultural heritage.
