Revitalisation of the degraded part of the town of Siemiatycze: amphitheatre and city market and improve the public safety of the city by setting up a video surveillance network

The aim of the project is to develop urban space: the amphitheatre over the flood and the city market, and the restoration and creation of new social and economic functions of this part of the public space, which will enable public life to be revitalised in the social, economic, cultural and recreational spheres, while eliminating the phenomena associated with the problems of the local community, as well as improving public safety through the installation of video surveillance in the revitalisation area defined in the GPR. The material scope of the project includes the construction of an amphitheatre over the lagoon with accompanying infrastructure (parkings, transport routes, sanitary building), reconstruction of the city market at ul. Grodno and the installation of video surveillance on the revitalised territory of the city of Siemiatycze. Among the specific objectives of the projects are the social inclusion of people living in degraded areas by creating decent living conditions, improving their safety and enabling them to be activated in public life (in society, in the labour market). 1.65 ha of revitalised areas and 3 enterprises located in revitalised areas. 2 infrastructure facilities will be supported. The group of indirect beneficiaries should also include the entire local community, which will be able to use the supported infrastructure. The scope of the project stems directly from the Municipal Revitalisation Programme of the City of Siemiatycze for 2017-2023, which is included in the list of revitalisation programmes maintained by the MA ROPWP 2014-2020. The project affects the social, spatial-functional, technical, environmental and economic sphere of the degraded area delimited in the GPR and is part of a broad and mutually complementary spectrum of activities defined in the GPR. The envisaged infrastructure intervention provides a solid basis for activating the local community.
