The municipality of Wasilków has taken action to implement the project, which involves the introduction of sports and recreational activities, including the tennis section, with the aim of activating the inhabitants of the local community, in particular disadvantaged groups. This will be achieved by revitalising the area currently not used as a sports facility, which does not fulfil its function – a tennis court. To this end, it will be necessary to carry out works related to the reconstruction of existing courts and their equipment. The construction works will consist of the construction of three tennis courts with synthetic grass pavement with drainage system and connection of rainwater drainage. A terrain lighting installation will also be made. Demolition will be subjected to unnecessary and conflicting terrain weapons. A fence of the facility will be made, the purchase of court equipment and elements of small architecture – benches, garbage cans, regulation boards. For the proper and timely execution of the construction work, a supervisory inspector will be appointed responsible for verifying compliance of the construction process with the provisions of the construction law (depending on the scope of the work, authorisations in the sanitary and electrical construction industry will be required). The detailed scope of construction works is included in the design documentation prepared by the authorised entity. The project is aimed at the local community living in the area covered by the LSR Puszcza Knyszyńska LAG. The project is a response to diagnosed problems in the social, environmental, economic, spatial and functional and technical spheres characterised as part of the diagnosis of a degraded and revitalised area. The project co-financed by the ERDF will be implemented from 23.11.2020 to 30.12.2021. The project is valued at PLN 1 189 761.03, the whole amount being an eligible cost. The amount of the co-financing is PLN 592 500.98.
