The general objectives of the Project are: improving the level of safety in the municipality of Skołyszyn in terms of natural and technological threats, improving the living conditions of residents, increased safety of management, increasing the competitiveness of the municipality of Skołyszyn. The direct objective of the project is: improvement of the state of preparation of the Municipality of Skołyszyn to take rescue actions in situations of threats arising from climate change and technical and communication disasters. The project is aimed at retrofitting the Voluntary Fire Service Unit in Skołyszyn, which includes: — purchase of a light terrain vehicle (recognition and operation) with 4x4 drive with standard and additional equipment (total of 9 units including: power generator, usable radios (2 units), including a charging station permanently installed in the vehicle, flashlights with chargers (2 pcs.), portable lighting mast, slurry pump, displacement clothes for work in water (2pcs);- purchase of a pump unit on a trailer (1 piece) – purchase of flat-bottomed boat with outboard motor on a trailer (1 piece), the number of equipment and equipment to carry out rescue operations and to deal with the consequences of catastrophes or major accidents is 11 units.Persons at risk of forest fires, for which the risk will be reduced as a result of the implementation of the project, are residents of the Municipality of Skołyszyn in the number of 12 594 persons.The most important economic benefits are:- Increase the municipal potential of protection against threats from climate change.- Improvement of the standard of equipment for the implementation of basic and specialised rescue operations. — Improving the quality and functionality of the equipment of rescue units.- Increase in the number of threats covered by protective and rescue measures – raising the standard. — Improve the rescue system, civil protection and citizens’ sense of security.
