Modernizing Healthcare Facilities in Gdynia to Improve Patient Care

Overview: The "Pomeranian Hospitals" project focuses on upgrading two key healthcare facilities in Gdynia: St. Vincent de Paul Hospital and PCK Marine Hospital. By expanding infrastructure, equipping with advanced medical technology, and providing specialized staff training, the initiative aims to offer high-quality medical services to approximately 300,000 residents and seasonal tourists in the Pomorskie region.

Objectives:

  1. Expand Hospital Infrastructure: Construct new wings and modern operating theaters to increase patient capacity and service efficiency.
  2. Upgrade Medical Equipment: Install state-of-the-art devices to enhance diagnostic and treatment capabilities.
  3. Provide Specialized Training: Enhance medical staff qualifications through postgraduate courses and specialized training programs.

Key Features:

  • New Facilities:
    • PCK Marine Hospital: A new wing with seven patient rooms, including six double occupancy rooms and one isolation room, with plans for additional rooms on the ground floor.
    • St. Vincent de Paul Hospital: A modern operating theater comprising four operating rooms, scheduled for completion by June 2021.
  • Advanced Medical Equipment: Deployment of cardiac and heart rate monitors, ECGs, defibrillators, infusion and enteral feeding pumps, C-arm imaging devices, ultrasounds, specialized beds, and a fully equipped blood bank.
  • Staff Development: Provision of specialized training and opportunities for medical staff to enroll in postgraduate courses to enhance professional qualifications.

Target Audience:

  • Local Residents: Approximately 300,000 inhabitants of Gdynia, Sopot, and Kartuzy County.
