The aim of the project is to develop a new product in the form of an innovative assembly and welding line for the production of frames of rolling rail carriages and its production technology through the implementation of research and development. The objective pursued is that, according to the current state of affairs, there is a very low take-up of dedicated production and automation equipment in the rail vehicle industry, as a result of the specificity of this sector. The implementation of small, large-scale production, including the need to take into account several hundred welded elements and subassemblies, is a very demanding construction task, which determines new functional solutions. The scope of the tests includes laboratory tests (both computer simulation and actual component manufacturing) and actual (prototypical manufacturing process and operational testing). The research team will be composed of experts, executive staff and a scientific unit.
