The main objective of the project is to improve the level and quality of life of the local community and to reduce air pollution in the municipality of Końskie, through the development of clean, safe, functional and efficient forms of public transport. The specific objectives are: reducing traffic in the city centre, noise and congestion, implementing sustainable urban mobility (as a result of bus lines) and increasing the number of people abandoning individual transport to the public. These objectives will be achieved through the creation of an integrated hub (Number of integrated hubs built: 1pcs.), reconstruction of ul. Bridge (as a road infrastructure necessary for the proper functioning of new communication lines and access to ZCP), the creation of new transport links (Total length of new or rebuilt urban transport lines: 203,80 km), purchase of low-emission rolling stock (Number of purchased passenger rolling stock units in collective public transport: 9 pcs; Capacity of purchased passenger rolling stock for collective public transport: 282 persons) and adaptation of the stop infrastructure on communication routes. The project will reduce greenhouse gas emissions (1.74 tonnes of CO2 equivalent). The number of services on rebuilt and new public transport lines is also estimated at 56940 pc/year. The project’s objectives are in line with the specific objectives set for Priority Axis 3 Effective and green energy and are in line with the objectives of Action 3.4 on sustainable urban mobility projects, construction, conversion to national level of public transport infrastructure and reduction of emissions of dust and harmful substances into the atmosphere. The project fits in with the Low-Emission Economy Plan for the Municipality of Końskie and provides solutions for people with disabilities.
