The project responds to identified problems. The main objective of the project – to increase the share of low-carbon public transport in the area of Skarżysko-Kamienna Municipality and to improve the accessibility and quality of public transport services, together with the reduction of its negative environmental impact – is to: • protecting the environment by reducing exhaust emissions, noise and vibrations generated by bus rolling stock, • reducing travel time and improving travel comfort by public transport, • providing passengers with up-to-date information on the arrival time of buses, • creating a coherent system of cycle paths also used for transport purposes, • creating a user-friendly infrastructure, • improving road safety, • reducing traffic congestion and reducing travel time. It is planned to purchase 7 buses (incl.: Number of units of passenger rolling stock purchased in collective public transport transport) with a capacity of 630 passengers (inc.: Capacity of purchased passenger rolling stock for collective public transport). • realisation of 5 "Bike&Ride“objects (inc.: Number of”Bike&Ride" objects built) with 75 parking stations (inc.: Number of parking stations in built "Bike&Ride" facilities • implementation of the Passenger Information System (inc.: Number of intelligent transport systems installed) • construction of 2.4 km of cycle paths (inc.: Length of bicycle infrastructure supported) • Determination of 2.0 km bus lanes (inc.: Length of designated bus lanes). This will result in a reduction of 503 t CO2 on an annual basis (inc.: Estimated annual decrease in greenhouse gas emissions (CI 34)) The project pursues the specific objectives of Priority Axis 3 Effective and Green Energy of the ROP WŚ and is directly relevant to the specific objective.
