The object of the project is the thermomodernisation of three public buildings serving an important function of public and social life of the municipality (the Municipality and Municipality of Chmielnik/Municipal Guard, the building of the Voluntary Fire Service in Kotlice and the seat of the Environmental Self-Aid House in Zrecz Dużym (function within the structures of MGOPS) together with the rural community centre (administered by the Khmelnytsky Cultural Centre). The project will increase energy efficiency, rational use of energy, reduce seasonal heat losses for individual buildings. In order to achieve the objectives pursued, the following actions will be taken: insulation of buildings, replacement of windows, exterior doors and lighting for energy-saving, ceiling warming, reconstruction of heating systems, replacement of heat source in two buildings by removing the boiler room for solid fuel and installing boilers for gas and pellets Very poor technical condition of buildings causes high heat losses and emissions into the atmosphere of harmful substances and greenhouse gases. This entails higher costs for the operation and maintenance of facilities which play a major role in the public life of the municipality. Increasing energy efficiency, which combines economic and social objectives, will further contribute to the decarbonisation of the economy. The UMiG/City Guard building thermal modernisation project is implemented in the demarcated and revitalisation area and indicated in the Revitalisation Programme for the Municipality of Chmielnik for 2016-2023 as a project to achieve the objectives of revitalisation (Resolution No XXXIV/291/2017 of the Municipal Council in Chmielnik of 29 May 2017), Annex 3 to the GPR (Resolution No X/89/2019 of the City Council in Chmielnik of 28 June 2019)
