Subject of the project: The object of the investment is the creation of a research and development department in POLGUSTUS, through the purchase and implementation of laboratory equipment. It will be used to carry out coordinated and systematic research and development activities aimed at acquiring new knowledge to obtain a condensed form of functional food in an instant product as ready-to-eat products packaged in sachets, in order to preserve during long-term storage, bioactive properties and sensory characteristics, containing microencapsulated polyunsaturated fatty acids and/or microencapsulated honey and/or protein isolates together with lyophilised fruits subjected to agglomeration processes. Material scope: I. Laboratory equipment II. Development of a business plan Implementation method: Implementation will be carried out directly by the Applicant, expanding its organisational and infrastructure structure. The activity will be expanded to include R & D activities in cooperation with business and scientific partners. The developed know-how will be implemented for the Applicant’s activities: New product: An instant sachet. Condensed product of balanced composition, to be dissolved in small volume (approx. 150-200 ml of water), will contain a large dose of energy and nutrients. Compatibility of the project with SZOOP ROP WiM Approvals: The proposed grant supports innovative solutions (opinion on innovation), the planned Research Agenda, which will be implemented using co-financed R & D infrastructure.
