Urania’s entertainment and sports hall was established in 1978. As a 42-year-old facility, despite the ongoing degradation, there was no thorough renovation. She’s been exploited, which discourages her from using it. The object of the project is the reconstruction and expansion of the Urania sports and entertainment hall in Olsztyn, together with the construction of an outdoor rink, underground parking lot, ground parking spaces, circular and pedestrian communication, the development of furnished greenery, small architecture and the necessary technical infrastructure and equipment. The scope of the project will include: 1) construction works related to the reconstruction and expansion of the Urania sports hall in Olsztyn, in accordance with the technical documentation, 2) purchase of equipment necessary for the operation of the sports and entertainment hall, 3) conducting investor supervision and legal supervision in order to control the correctness of the work carried out and their compliance with the design documentation and the provisions of the construction law, as well as legal service of the investment at the stage of implementation and selection of an external operator to manage the project, 4) promotion of the project by purchasing and installing 2 information and souvenir boards. The main stakeholders of the project will be the inhabitants of Olsztyn (in particular those living in the revitalisation area where the hall is located and the areas directly adjacent to it), residents of the region of Warmia and Mazury, economic operators and local and regional authorities. As a result of the investment, a facility with a capacity of around 4 000 spectators will be rebuilt, adapted to the needs of users with different levels of fitness, including persons with disabilities. The main objective of the project is the revitalisation of the Urania sports and entertainment hall in Olsztyn, which will contribute to the implementation of the programme’s objective of Action 8.1 Revitalisation of urban areas (ROM 2014-2020) – “Better quality of life for communities living in problem areas”.
