The project provides for insulation of the external envelope, joinery replacement and the application of mechanical engineering measures in combination with the use of renewable energy sources and the implementation of electrotechnical measures. The implementation of the measures significantly reduces energy consumption, thus contributing directly to the EU’s energy efficiency targets, which require the restoration of 3 % of the area of publicly owned buildings on a yearly basis. The project covers the beneficiaries of the building (children) and workers and, in addition to reducing energy consumption and financial savings, increases the user’s comfort levels, meets the stipulated air quality and illumination levels and has an impact on the environment through energy savings, which results in a reduction of CO2 emissions.
