The project contributes to the energy efficiency of the school building by thermal insulation of the outer envelope and the replacement of joinery and the application of mechanical and electrotechnical measures. The implementation of the measures significantly reduces energy consumption, thus contributing directly to the EU’s energy efficiency targets, which require the restoration of 3 % of the area of publicly owned buildings on a yearly basis. The project covers the beneficiaries of the building (children) and workers and, in addition to reducing energy consumption and financial savings, increases the user’s comfort levels, meets the stipulated air quality and illumination levels and has an impact on the environment through energy savings, which results in a reduction of CO2 emissions.
