Dubrovnik does not have a student home and has a large housing cost and there is a decline in the number of non-female students. The construction of a student home will provide the possibility of suitable accommodation for 503 students, including 290 economically disadvantaged students and five students with disabilities. Today, more than 50 % of the hard rollers in Dubrovnik-Neretva County (which live outside Dubrovnik) do not continue education. The University of Dubrovnik has the necessary experience and knowledge to successfully implement this project, as well as financial support from the local and regional community.
