At present, Croatia does not have a planned system of continuous, controlled, accessible and comprehensive continuous professional development in accordance with the specific needs of general practitioner medical practitioners. The project “Continuous professional development of general practitioner/family medicine” through 4 different modules and 160 workshops will cover about 1400-2000 doctors. The aim is to increase the level of knowledge and skills of the general practitioner/family medicine, and thus the quality of healthcare protection of Croatian citizens, which would lead to the rationalisation of the use of human and material resources available to the healthcare system.
