Rehabilitation of tram infrastructure Iasi – Dancu

The general objective of the project is the rehabilitation of the infrastructure and superstructure of the tram taxiway on the section between Vasile Lupu Street and Aurel Vlaicu Street and the intravilan boundary of Iasi County, length 2.460 ml double track (respectively 2.46 km) – respectively 4,92 km simple running path. The aim of the project is to create an efficient and attractive public transport system that will serve the inhabitants of Iasi in a balanced way. By the nature of the general objective, the investment targeted by the project provides, on the section between Vasile Lupu and Aurel Vlaicu Street, measures to improve the efficiency of public passenger transport, its frequency and journey times, contributing to the achievement of the objectives of Priority Axis 4 Supporting sustainable urban development, Investment Priority 4e: Promoting low-carbon strategies for all types of territories, in particular for urban areas, including the promotion of sustainable multimodal urban mobility and mitigation-relevant adaptation measures. Specific objective 4.1: Reducing carbon emissions in municipalities of county residence through investments based on sustainable urban mobility plans, within the Regional Operational Programme (ROP) 2014-2020, as follows: 1. 0 electric tram at the beginning of project implementation and 4 trams purchased at the end of project implementation 2. 0 ml of rehabilitated tram line at the beginning of the project implementation, i.e. 2.460 ml rehabilitated tram line (double taxiway) at the end of project implementation 3. Estimated annual decrease of greenhouse gases (tonnes CO2/year) on the route analysed by: — 0 Tons (Total emissions estimated 636 Tone CO2/year) in the first year of project implementation and 2020 Scenario without project: — 598.5 Tone CO2 equivalent/year for the first year after the completion of the respective project 2023-553 Tone CO2 equivalent/year for the last year of the durability period of the financing contract, i.e. 2027 Project scenario: — 3.73 % respectively 22.3 Tone (from 598.5 Tons to 576,2 Tone CO2/year) for the first year following the completion of the implementation of the respective project 2023-1.71 % respectively 9.4 Tone (553,8 Tons to 544.4 Tone CO2/year) for the last year of the durability period of the financing contract, i.e. 2027 4. 0 tram public transport stations at the beginning of the project implementation, i.e. 8 tram public transport stations at the end of project implementation 5.
