Increase the quality standards and the relevant educational offer of the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University in Iasi in relation to the labor market and competitive economic sectors, by improving the educational infrastructure as a result of the consolidation, rehabilitation, modernisation and endowment of the building E, until June 30, 2022. The project aims to capitalise on the potential of a heritage building with an existing area of 1949.52 sqm, with a proposed surface of 2384.39 sqm and a useful area of 1806.27 sqm, which is under its own management and which has been inoperative and closed for many years as a result of the advanced degradation state, through consolidation, rehabilitation, modernisation and facilities to modernise the educational infrastructure. They will benefit from attractive study conditions and will be more motivated to continue and complete university studies. The “hard” investments proposed through the project, indispensable to create a stimulating educational environment, aim to increase the institutional capacity and performance of our university to provide qualitative and relevant educational services to an even larger number of students. The objective of the project contributes to the achievement of the specific objective 10.3 of Priority Axis 10 “Increasing the relevance of tertiary university education in relation to the labor market and competitive economic sectors” by the fact that the investment in existing infrastructure promises to increase the attractiveness of our university. Especially since the university is prestigious, recognised at least at national level, with an increased capacity to match its educational offer with the requirements of the labor market by “marketing”/“placement” on the market of students better anchored in the field in which they will operate. Achieving the general objective of the project will have a major impact on the ability of our University to attract and train valuable students by providing modern study conditions. The added value will be given by increasing the attractiveness of our institution, city and region for young people who will study at us, whose potential will lead to an economic development, considering that students represent the most valuable resource for sustainable development.
