Modernisation of educational infrastructure within UMF Iasi, in conditions of sustainability and social inclusion. The aim of the project is as a response to the need to modernise the existing spaces within UMF Iasi and intended for the educational process, in order to bring them to European quality standards. This concern for infrastructure development is found among the main directions of strategic development 2016-2020 of the University, namely the component of patrimony development – the aspect highlighted in the programmatic document “Strategic Development Plan, Period 2016-2020, UMF Iasi”. By achieving its purpose, the project is also relevant to the specific objective (10.3) of the investment priority (10.1), Priority Axis 10 of the ROP, namely: Increasing the relevance of tertiary university education in relation to the labour market and competitive economic sectors. The causal relationship between the level of development of the workforce capacities and the state of the infrastructure in which the vocational education and training process takes place is evidenced by numerous socio-economic analyses and, as such, ROP support will ensure the achievement of the conditions for a quality professional training and relevant to the needs of the health labor market. The proposed investment project will improve UMF Iasi’s ability to anticipate and respond to market demands regarding standards and academic quality to develop new programs, benefiting from infrastructure, modern technology and equipment to provide students with both key competences and cross-disciplinary skills. The proposed investment will contribute to increasing the employability of graduates of higher medical education in competitive and intelligent specialisation sectors – Health and Infomational Technology. The new infrastructure will improve the access and participation of disadvantaged people to the higher education system and their outcomes at this level of education, especially of non-traditional students, those coming from rural areas, as well as other disadvantaged groups, as well as measures to align higher education with the needs of the labour market. The general condition of the building and of the facilities justify investments in the modernisation of study spaces.
