Ensuring an efficient public passenger transport service and improving the conditions for the use of non-motorised modes of transport, with a view to reducing the number of journeys by private transport (cars) and reducing CO2-equivalent emissions from transport. Thus, the Neamt County ATU, through the Neamt County Council, in partnership with Piatra Neamt Municipality, through the Local Council, aims to develop urban mobility at the level of Piatra Neamt by shifting the emphasis from a mobility based on the use of high quality and efficient public transport, reducing the use of cars in parallel with the use of clean car categories. The project meets the specific objective 4.1 of the investment priority 4e, through the implementation of strategic measures based on the data from the Piatra Neamt Urban Moiblity Plan that will lead to the promotion of sustainable multimodal urban mobility and the reduction of CO2 emissions, as a result of improving the efficiency of public passenger transport, its frequency and journey times, accessibility, transfer to it from private transport by car, increasing the attractiveness of using public means of transport at the expense of transport by private cars through the proposed interventions, namely the introduction into the fleet of the transport operator of 20 electric buses, the implementation of the e-ticketing system, the location on the public transport routes of 5 fast charging stations to ensure optimal operation of the means of transport, the extension/modernisation/rehabilitation of the bus of the transport operator and its endowment with all the facilities necessary for the optimal parking and maintenance of the means of transport, including 20 slow loading stations for electric buses.
