Capitalising on the tourist potential of Gura Humorului resort to sustainable economic growth, attracting investments and increasing the average number of employees by developing infrastructure to support tourism. Indicator: the project aims to achieve 3 small-scale public infrastructure, in order to make efficient and sustainable use of the natural tourist resources specific to the tourist resort of national interest Gura Humorului, in order to stimulate an economic growth favorable to the employment, through the private investments that will be attracted in the area. Tourism is one of the economic activities with the most significant potential to generate growth and jobs. Through the proposed objectives, the project “T.U.R.I.S.T. (Urban Territory Revitalised with Tourism Support Infrastructure) Gura Humorului” contributes both to the achievement of the strategic objective of ROP 2014-2020, as well as to the specific objective of investment priority 7.1, regarding “Increasing the average number of employees in tourist resorts”, because it proposes: ● The efficient use of natural resources specific to the tourist resort Gura Humorului and the diversification of the touristic offer, through the development of 3 small-scale public infrastructure, namely: — The realisation/marking of 2 mountain trails with a low degree of difficulty, in the circuit, Piatra Pinului Trail and Soimului Trail, located on the northern slope that descends from Obcina Voronet, to Arinis Park, routes accessible to the general public, even less trained, as well as to families with children; — The construction of an Observation Foisor, equipped with the public toilet and the arrangement of a playground for children at the point of maximum quota of the two trails, a point known to the locals as “La Varnita” (altitude 757 m), to attract visitors (adults and children) eager to admire the impressive view of the city and surroundings, or to carry out recreational activities with children; — Diversification of the offer of tourist products offered within the Arinis Park, namely: specially designed sports field with bowling tracks and Sahisti space, fitness space, playground for children, public toilet, green spaces. ● Increasing the number of visitors at the Gura Humorului tourist resort by 21 % in 5 years after the completion of the investment (from 170.545 visitors estimated in 2018 to 206,425 visitors estimated in 2023 – an increase of 35,880 visitors). ● The realisation of a Promotion Campaign during the investment period (12 months before the completion of the project implementation). ● Stimulating the development of the business environment and thus increasing the average number of employees, by identifying a number of 11 subsequent investments in the resort as a result of the realisation of the investment project, at least one being started with a maximum of 6 months
