The general objective of the project is – Ambulatory modernisation within the Gura Humorului City Hospital. The project will contribute directly to: making health services more accessible; — improving the quality of outpatient medical services through proper equipment; accessibility of healthcare space and access routes. The project’s contribution to meeting the objectives of the Investment Priority “Investing in health and social infrastructure contributing to national, regional and local development, reducing inequalities in health status and promoting social inclusion by improving access to social, cultural and recreational services, as well as the transition from institutional to community-based services”, Specific Objective 8.1 – Increasing access to health, community and secondary-level services, especially for poor and isolated areas. The implementation of the project will contribute to: — promoting social inclusion and preventing the marginalisation of the inhabitants of Gura Humorului City by ensuring a medical process at European standards; provision of continuous primary care; making the health system more efficient by reducing avoidable admissions; accessibility of the offer of outpatient support services. The city of Gura Humorului falls among small and medium-sized towns with a population of 17,106 inhabitants in 2018, according to INSSE. According to the Atlas of marginalised Urban Areas in Gura Humorului city 45.77 % of the population is disadvantaged on at least one of the 4 monitored criteria and only 54.23 % of the population lives in unadvantaged areas. Within the project will be achieved objectives that will lead to differences in the health status of the population, especially in economically disadvantaged areas, by diagnosing diseases in the early stage and successfully treating milder conditions, thus preventing their worsening and decreasing the share of people with uncovered medical needs. The investments envisaged are: — extension and rehabilitation of the ambulatory building; — equipping and equipping the ambulatory; the exterior arrangement of the enclosure. The project contributes directly to the achievement of Axis 8 objective and investment priority 8.1A, aiming to finance infrastructure interventions and endowment of the outpatient network that will provide both medical and social services, being a flexible solution for accessibility of primary socio-medical care. The project will have a significant impact on the whole local community, not just one category of beneficiaries. None of the objectives that will be achieved through the project fall under State aid.
