The general objective of the project is to promote sustainable urban mobility by implementing an intelligent traffic management and monitoring system, based on innovative solutions for the efficiency and reduction of pollution in Buzău Municipality. The main aim will be to improve the efficiency of public passenger transport, its frequency and journey times, its accessibility, its transfer from private transport by car, and the transfer to non-motorised modes of transport. It will also aim to make the use of passenger cars a less attractive option in terms of economic and journey times than the use of public transport/non-motorised modes, thereby creating the conditions for reducing car numbers and reducing CO2-equivalent emissions.
