The general objective of the project is to reduce GHG emissions and promote sustainable urban mobility by making integrated investments in urban public transport infrastructure in order to ensure the free and safe movement of people, with the protection of the environment, crucial elements for the quality of life of the citizens of Buzău Municipality. The main aim will be to improve the efficiency of public passenger transport, its frequency and journey times, its accessibility and attractiveness, the transfer to public transport from private transport by car, as well as the transfer to non-motorised modes of transport, thereby creating the conditions for reducing car numbers and reducing CO2-equivalent emissions and meeting specific objective 4.1 of Investment Priority 4e.
