The project aims at sustainable urban development by promoting low-carbon strategies, promoting sustainable multimodal urban mobility and mitigation-relevant adaptation measures, and aims at reducing CO2 emissions from road transport and changing the choice of passenger cars to non-motorised modes of transport and public transport, thus shifting the focus from mobility based primarily on car use, mobility based on public transport and other non-motorised modes of transport, cycling, walking, which will reduce emissions of CO2-equivalent and other greenhouse gases (GHG) from motorised road transport at the municipal level.
