Rehabilitation of multifunctional pedestrian urban area Dacia Square and connection to extended area of integrated urban mobility in Buzau

The general objective of the project is to promote sustainable urban mobility by rehabilitating a multifunctional pedestrian urban area in the central area of Buzău and connecting it to the extended integrated urban mobility area. The main aim is to make the use of cars in the central area of the municipality less attractive by restricting their access to the project’s focus area, thus creating the conditions for increasing the modal share of pedestrian and cycling and reducing CO2-equivalent emissions. Increasing the attractiveness of the pedestrian area and transforming it into a major area of local interest will bring new benefits to the socio-cultural and touristic landscape of Buzău Municipality and will contribute to the improvement of the quality of the environment and to the improvement of the quality of life of the inhabitants.
