The general objective of the project is to revitalise a degraded land within the municipality of Buzau during 27 months of implementation, in order to transform it into the leisure and leisure area for the community, thus contributing to reducing air pollution and improving the quality of life of the population. Given the important role of the city in the territorial structure of the municipality and Buzau county, the project will contribute to strengthening the role of cities as growth engines, by addressing current shortcomings in the education system and improving the availability, quality and relevance of the educational infrastructure and equipment, thus contributing to ensuring balanced development and increasing the attractiveness of Buzau Municipality. The aim of the project is to ensure and improve environmental factors and living conditions in the urban environment, contributing to the beautification of the urban aspect of Buzau by transforming a land currently in an advanced deterioration situation in the recreational area with recreation facilities for children and adults. It is proposed to recover 2 degraded/abandoned plots of land from public property, located within the municipality of Buzau, by re-functioning them for recreation purposes: setting up green spaces, arranging alleys, equipping with urban furniture and play equipment, providing necessary utilities. By the nature of the general objective, the investment targeted by the project provides measures to reduce air pollution and reduce noise, contributing to the achievement of the objectives of Priority Axis 4 – Supporting sustainable urban development Priority of investments 4.2, Delivering actions aimed at improving the urban environment, revitalising cities, regenerating and decontaminating brownfields (including conversion areas); reducing air pollution and promoting noise reduction measures within the Regional Operational Programme (ROP) 2014-2020, by creating green spaces composed of lawn, trees, shrubs and flowers with unlimited access from the total area of investment, alleys, playgrounds and other constructions. We specify that the total area of green spaces created is 69 678 sqm, being composed of: a) Area of green spaces – 62.711 sqm, of which: — Area of landscaped green space = 33.468 sqm – Impadurited area = 3.989 sqm – Green area crops = 20.037 sqm – Area of green spaces arranged in the middle of the alleys = 2,700 sqm – Surface of paths of battered land = 545 sqm – Area of the alleys in grass and tiles = 1.972sqm) Area of recreation areas – 1.190 sqm, of which: — Surface playgrounds with the infrastructure of rubber tiles = 900 sqm, representing the sum of the 3 playgrounds
