Having regard to the fact that in the 2014-2020 programming period Romania benefits from European funds amounting to approximately EUR 43 billion, in particular the opportunities offered by the European Regional Development Fund through the Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020, PRIORITY AXA 3, INVESTMENT 4e priority, SPECIFICAL OBJECTIVE 3.2 – Reducing CARBON EMISSIONS IN THE URBAN DURABLE DURABLE MOBILITY PLANS, as well as the fact that, within the framework of the “Urban Mobility Plan” (UMP) of Babadag, it is proposed to regulate the traffic on the urban streets by providing clean means of transport as an alternative for carbon-emission road vehicles, namely the establishment of a clean, attractive and modern public transport system, as well as encouraging cycling or walking by providing specially designed cycle paths and improving the quality of sidewalks/walks. The investment objective is designed to increase the quality of life in the city of Babadag and align with the European policies of sustainable development.
