Increasing the quality of educational infrastructure relevant to the labor market of Constanta, as a determining factor for increasing the quality of the educational process, early development of children, for building social skills and capacity for social integration. School education at higher standards is a major concern of Constanta Municipality administration. The quality of the education infrastructure influences both the motivation for participation in the educational process and the actual learning process, the level of capacity development of the workforce, considering that these concepts are defined by compliance with the minimum standards for infrastructure and by aligning the design of educational facilities with learning principles. By implementing the project “Rehabilitation, modernisation and endowment of the Technological High School of Electrotechnical and Telecommunications, Constanta” will ensure the improvement of the state of the technical and material base and the creation of a modern educational framework, which facilitates a qualitative educational process and therefore an optimal context for attracting and maintaining in the educational system for as long as possible the school population. The way in which the general objective of the project contributes to the specific objective 4.5 of Priority Axis 4 is evidenced by the estimated impact of the project: — facilitating the access of the school population in Constanta to a qualitative and modern educational process, considering that the project provides for the creation of optimal technical-material conditions for study at the level of the Technological High School of Electrotechnical and Telecommunications; — increasing access to professional and technical education as a result of the correlation of the institutional capacity of the unit (development and rehabilitation of educational infrastructure, equipping with educational and administrative facilities and equipment) with the individual needs of children and parents and current requirements in the field of education; — reducing social costs as a result of providing an educational infrastructure and logistics that stimulates and facilitates children’s access to the higher levels of education, with indirect implications in the sense of reducing the phenomenon of early school leaving and increasing the level of education of the local population.
