Tourist development in Neptun Olimp resort

The general objective of the project is the sustainable development of tourism and, implicitly, the increase of the average number of employees in the tourist resort and balenoclimateric Neptun-Olimp. The project includes investments in the rehabilitation and modernisation of road and pedestrian infrastructure on the streets of Writers, Delta, Railway Stations, Crinului, Plopilor, School, Flag Alley, Special Villas, Neptune Faleza in Neptun Olimp resort, as well as investments in the modernisation of the public road and pedestrian lighting system, the threat of cyclist tracks and green spaces on the modernised streets. The rehabilitated and modernised streets within the project are included in a road network of functional urban streets that ensure good connectivity of the resort to the TEN T Comprehensive network represented by the European road E87. The connection is made through DN 39B, DN 39C and DN39D which intersect with E87 (DN39). Mangalia labor and all related resorts, including Neptun-Olimp resort, are defined in the national legislation in force both as tourist resorts, according to GD 852/2008 (for the approval of the norms and criteria for the attestation of tourist resorts), with subsequent amendments and additions, as well as as balneoclimatic resorts, according to HG1016/2011 with the useful modifications and additions (on granting the status of spa ∓ balneoclimaterica for some localities and areas that have natural cure factors). Neptun – Olimp is one of the resorts known at national but also international level for both spa and climate curative factors and as a tourist location that has special natural attractions, generically described by the Black Sea, beaches with a special configuration, sulphurous springs, Neptun Lake, Comorova forest, Stejarii Brumarii Reserve, etc. Thus, tourism represents an extremely important phenomenon for the economic and social progress of the area, approached both from the local and regional perspective (South-East region, Danube region, Romania-Bulgaria cross-border region). This project, through its objectives and activities, directly contributes to increasing the tourist attractiveness of the resort as it generates comfort and urban safety, but also a good accessibility and connectivity with the TEN-T European network, thus facilitating the mobility of people and goods. From this perspective it becomes clear that the project of direct implications on the stimulation of tourist traffic thus increasing the economic efficiency and competitiveness of Neptun-Olymp resort by adding value added to the business environment with activity in tourism and related services.
