The general objective of the project is to increase the energy efficiency of the urban infrastructure – Olympic Basin in Pitesti, Arges County, from energy class D to energy class B, thus contributing to the reduction of high energy consumption, and to increasing the attractiveness of Pitesti municipality within the local, regional, national and European territorial system. By the nature of the general objective, the investment targeted by the project provides for energy rehabilitation measures consisting of the envelope of the building, interventions on the installations and the implementation of renewable energy solutions for the energy efficiency of the Olympic Basin in Pitesti within the Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020. The project contributes to the objectives of Priority Axis 3 Supporting the transition towards a low carbon economy, Investment Priority 3.1 Supporting energy efficiency, smart energy management and renewable energy use in public infrastructure, including public buildings, and housing sector, as follows: — improving the thermal insulation of the building envelope – upgrading the installations for the preparation, distribution and use of the heating agent for heating and domestic hot water, ventilation and air conditioning systems, mechanical ventilation systems with heat recovery – the use of renewable energy sources to ensure the energy needs of the building – implementation of an energy management system aimed at improving energy efficiency and monitoring energy consumption by purchasing, installation, maintenance and operation of intelligent systems for the management and monitoring of any type of energy to ensure indoor comfort conditions – replacing fluorescent and incandescent lighting fixtures with high energy efficiency and long lifespan, in compliance with technical regulations and norms
