The general objective of the project is to reduce CO2-equivalent emissions from motorised road transport by reducing the penetration of motorised flows on the street network of Sinaia, as a result of the construction of a transfer car park to public transport type PARK & RIDE, in line with the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (PMUD) and the Sustainable Development Strategy of Sinaia 2016-2020. Project "Building PARK& RIDE" together with complementary projects: 1) “ECO BUS” – submitted under ROP 2014-2020, Priority Axis 3, Investment Priority 4e, Specific Objective 3.2, Call for Projects No. POR/2017/3/3.2/1/7 REGIUNI, presented in section 1.3.2 of the MySMIS Financing Application, code SMIS 120346. 2) “Energy efficiency and expansion of the historical area lighting” – Sinaia – submitted under ROP 2014-2020, Priority Axis 3, Investment Priority 3.1 Operation C – Public Lighting, presented in Section 1.3.2 of the MySMIS Financing Application, SMIS code: 121472. 3) "REABILITATION OF THE URBAN PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE ORAȘ SINAIA "VIÁ SINAIA DESIGN-VERDE- DESCHIS" – project implemented under ROP 2007-2013, presented in section 1.3.1 of the MySMIS grant application, code SMIS 7607, contributes to the achievement of the general objective of ROP 2014-2020: “Increasing economic competitiveness and improving the living conditions of local and regional communities by supporting the development of the business environment, infrastructure conditions and services, ensuring a sustainable development of the regions, capable of managing resources efficiently, exploiting their potential for innovation and assimilation of technological progress”, as a result of the effects on the living conditions of local and regional communities by: Reducing pollution by reducing CO2-equivalent emissions from motorised road transport as a result of reduced motorised flows on the street network of Sinaia; — Decreasing pressure on parking spaces in the central area as a result of the construction of a PARK & RIDE car park that will facilitate a transfer from transport by own car to public transport that will be modernised as a result of the purchase of green buses within the ECO-BUS complementary project; Ensuring a decrease in the number of vehicles inside the city as transport by own car will become a less attractive option in terms of both economic and journey times compared to public transport; — Carrying out measures to raise awareness of the population that will be carried out with the implementation of the projects "Building PARK& RIDE" and "ECO BUS" respectively.
