Extension, rehabilitation, modernisation and endowment of the integrated outpatient of Ploiesti County Emergency Hospital

The general objective of the proposed project is to increase the accessibility of health services and improve the health status of the population in Prahova County by providing complex outpatient medical services that fall into the category of essential services for the population. Investment in health, improvement of health infrastructure must be supported and encouraged. In addition to the many important considerations contributing to improving the health of the population, the outpatient conditions in which patients are treated are of major importance in order to ensure the necessary prevention and improvement of the state of health. Currently, hospital care in Romania is mainly based on acute hospital care, which is the most expensive, and which is largely avoidable by improving prevention and non-hospital care. A shift from acute hospital care to the treatment of most outpatients (outpatient day care, outpatient clinics, as well as diagnostic and treatment centres) is one of the main measures defined in the National Health Strategy and is in line with the Country Specific Recommendations on the establishment of sustainable and cost-effective healthcare.
