The general objective of the project is to stimulate local development and increase the competitiveness of Craiova by preserving, protecting and sustainably capitalising on the local cultural heritage and promoting elements of cultural identity. Thus, the objective of the project is to highlight a heritage building, in order to introduce it into the tourist circuit of Craiova, as museum spaces dedicated to the most representative socio-economic personalities, which marked culture, science, art, politics at local and national level and exhibitions of a permanent character and periodical. This project, through its objectives and activities, contributes to the achievement of the EUSRD objective by promoting the heritage objective and enhancing it. After the restoration of the Rusanescu House and its transformation into the Museum, various cross-border collaboration projects can be implemented in Romania Bulgaria, given the experience of Craiova City Hall in implementing such projects, including training and promotion of common tourist products. The project can be a good example of implementation in the SUERD region, i.e. cross-border, contributing to increasing the attractiveness of Craiova by preserving and sustainably capitalising on cultural-historical heritage and modernising related infrastructures. Also, the project takes on solutions to protect the heritage objective implemented or being implemented in another EUSRD country, namely Bulagaria due to the fact that there is a tradition of colliding and cooperation on various projects.
