The general objective of the project is to develop the health infrastructure in Craiova in order to reduce inequity in access to health services. The definition of the general objective of the project highlights the fact that it falls within the strategic development objectives of Craiova municipality set out in the Integrated Urban Development Strategy for the Craiova Growth Pole, the provision of Quality Public Services (Education, Health, Social, Administration, Population Safety), following both the demand typology and its territorial dimension”. Furthermore, the general objective proposed by the project demonstrates its inclusion in the Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020, Priority Axis 8 – Development of health and social infrastructure, Investment Priority 8.1 – Investments in health and social infrastructure that contribute to development at national, regional and local level, reducing health inequalities and promoting social inclusion by improving access to social, cultural and recreational services, as well as the transition from institutional to community-based services, Specific Objective 8.1 – Increasing access to health, community and secondary-level services, especially for poor and isolated areas, Operation A – outpatients by rehabilitating existing outpatient infrastructure, accessibility of healthcare and access facilities, provision/modernisation of general and specific utilities (including connection to utilities on the site of the investment goal).
