Romania as a member of the European Union must align itself with the objectives of the European Community. The essence of the objectives is to increase performance in all fields of activity while ensuring current standards. In accordance with this strategy of alignment with European norms, by including this investment objective in financing, the infrastructure of educational objectives is mainly developed. Thus, by adopting policy measures on energy efficiency, which lead to important energy savings among consumers, we achieve the reduction of environmental pollution by reducing the production of polluting emissions and greenhouse gases. The general objective of the project Rehabilitation, modernisation and endowment of the Segarcea Secondary School in order to increase energy efficiency – Segarcea City, Dolj County is to reduce the administrative costs by increasing the energy efficiency of the public building. In this respect, the following works are carried out: location of solar panels for hot water; around the building a sidewalk of 1 m wide will be executed with slopes outward to remove the water from precipitation from the foundations of the building; a channel will be made to take over the waters from precipitation; the wood elements of the roof will be flame retardant every 2 years with fire retardant solution approved by military firefighters and will be joined with nails, barks, pliers, counterfiches and multicui metal cornering; photovoltaic panels will be installed; thermal rehabilitation will be carried out with basaltic mineral wool in facades and extruded polystyrene at the base as well as the insulation of the floor over the floor with mineral wool; interior and exterior finishes will be restored; the existing joinery will be replaced with laminated wood joinery with double glazed glass in three rows of glass. All this will increase the energy efficiency of the building. The general objective of the project is in line with the Specific Objective (OS) – Increasing energy efficiency in residential buildings, public buildings and public lighting systems, especially those that record high energy consumption, OS of Priority Axis 3 – Supporting the transition towards a low carbon economy, Investment Priority 3.1 – Supporting energy efficiency, smart energy management and renewable energy use in public infrastructure, including public buildings, and housing sector, Operation B – Public Buildings, under the Regional Operational Programme (ROP) 2014-2020. The inclusion in the financing and, subsequently, the implementation of the investment project will ensure the optimal conditions for carrying out the specific activities and will lead to the improvement of the living conditions of the children and teachers attending the building, by: • improving the condition of the building and the conditions of indoor thermal comfort; • reduction of losses d
