The general objective of the project/purpose of the project is to improve the quality of life for the inhabitants of the City of Turceni, respectively for 157 pupils/preschools by extending/rehabilitation/modernising and equipping an educational infrastructure unit with compulsory and preschool education and for 8052 people by building 2 small sports and recreational facilities (multifunctional sports field and pedestrian access alley). This project contributes through the activities and objectives set to the achievement of Specific Objective 13.1 of the Investment Priority 9b, namely to improve the quality of life of the population in small and medium-sized cities in Romania. The three proposed investment objectives will ensure both the appropriate conditions within the Strâmba-Jiu Secondary School with compulsory and pre-school education for an optimal learning environment, as well as new leisure facilities for the inhabitants of the City of Turceni by building the multifunctional sports field and the pedestrian alley. At the same time, through the integrated nature of the investments in this project, it will contribute to increasing the standard of living because it is dependent both on improving the educational offer and on improving the appearance and quality of urban public areas and the ways of leisure.
