“FUNCTIONAL REINTERPRETATION BY ARRANGING AND PRESERVING RUINS – THE MEDIEVAL TH CENTURY CHURCH. XIII-XIV"- Caransebeş municipality

The project responds to the objective of investment priority 5.1 PR/EUSRD – Preserving, protecting, promoting and developing the natural and cultural heritage has the specific objective of boosting local development through the preservation, protection and valorisation of cultural heritage and cultural identity. The project proposes to capitalise on the cultural heritage of Caransebes by highlighting an archaeological site with the Ruins of the 13rd-XIVth Century Medival Church (Romanic) in order to protect and include in a tourist-cultural circuit. The ruins have an age of app. 700 years and I'm unique in S-E Europe. The aim of the project – the recovery of an emblematic heritage objective for Europe S-E located in Caransebes Municipality, "Ruine of the Secondary Medieval Church. XIII-XIV" General Objectives – highlighting the functional reinterpretation of the site with the Ruins of the Medieval Church of the century. XIII-XIV, which will contribute to the cultural-tourism-economic development of both the local and the EUSRD region – elaboration of a coherent, applied and appropriate marketing strategy for the constant increase of the number of visitors consolidating the cultural tourist destinations in the SUERD basin based on the revamped heritage objectives – preserving the function of the cultural heritage objective that can be visited through regular and constant promotion actions
