Development of infrastructure for spa tourism in Baile Herculane Resort

The general objective of the project is the rehabilitation of thermal springs and the water supply for the development of public tanks, the revitalisation of some green spaces and the provision of urban furniture, the rehabilitation of the summer theatre, as well as the placement of a laser system to promote the development of tourism in the Baile Herculane Resort (leading to an increase in the number of tourists) and to the development of the economic sector in the area (determining the creation of new jobs and increasing the living standards of the population in the area). This project was developed by linking the objectives set with the objectives of the investment priority financed by the 2014-2020 ROP, in particular with the specific objective “Increasing the average number of employees in tourist resorts” of Priority Axis 7, Investment Priority 7.1. The aim of the project is to contribute to the revitalisation of Baile Herculane Station, which will be ensured through interventions in the tourism infrastructure with the help of grants, but also through promotion and marketing measures.
