Overview Overall objective: Integrated approach to revitalising and developing the city of Alesd in order to simultaneously address several needs of the population. Description General objective: In the city of Alesd, according to the Atlas of marginalised urban areas in Romania, in a population of 10,066 inhabitants, 13.30 % are in marginalised areas, and as highlighted in the Feasibility Study, all 4 investment objectives are focused in, or close to, Obor (slum area), which are at risk of poverty and social exclusion. The intention to solve several problems at the same time is an integrated approach aimed at: the social segment through Objective 1 – the canteen, the educational segment through Objective 3 – day centre for Roma (after school for which two volunteers have already been identified to carry out educational activities with young Roma), the recreational segment through Objective 2 – multisport space and last but not least, the public infrastructure segment through Objective 4 – shared space According to the Atlas of Marginalised Rural Areas and Local Human Development in Romania, in the city of Aleşd, LHDI is 70.11. Contribution of the project to the achievement of Specific Objective 13.1 – “Improving the quality of life of the population in small and medium-sized cities in Romania”. (crt. 1 ETF): By working together on 4 important areas: education, social, recreational and public infrastructure, the project contributes to the achievement of Specific Objective 13.1: “Increasing participation in early childhood and compulsory education, in particular for children at high risk of early leaving” through the following features: the possibility of having quality leisure time (objective 2), improving the quality and appearance of urban public infrastructure (objective 4), improving the quality of life of vulnerable groups (objectives 1 and 3). The proposed 4 investment objectives are also highlighted as priorities in the development strategy of the city of Aleşd, the SUMP Aleşd and the energy efficiency strategy of the city of Alesd. Therefore, the project is a microcircuit in which its defining elements are interconnected and complete as functionality and strategic approach and has been defined by the city’s inhabitants as a priority through the public consultations that took place at the time of the local strategic documents mentioned above. Thus, for a healthy way of life oriented towards the efficient development of the individual, near the canteen where they can serve meals, young people will also have access to a multisport terrain, access to them being achieved through a street that will be modernised with bicycle space – this is the main way of moving young people other than walking. Also, in these investments, for people from vulnerable groups (in particular
