Setting up promenade area on Borcutului Valley and asphalting streets in the town of Sîngeorz Băi

This project entitled “Promenade development on Borcutului Valley and asphalt streets in the city of Sîngeorz Băi” is part of the specific objective 3.2 of Axis 3, by reducing carbon emissions in urban areas based on sustainable urban mobility plans by achieving specific objectives, implemented in an integrated manner, which ultimately aims to change the focus from mobility based mainly on the use of private transport, mobility based on walking, the use of bicycle as a means of travel, as well as the use of high quality and efficient public transport within Sîngeorz-Băi. In this respect, the aim is to significantly reduce road traffic by passenger cars and CO2-equivalent emissions in the city of Sîngeorz-Băi. Thus, the activities supported by the project will be implemented in an integrated manner and will directly contribute to the reduction of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions from motorised road transport in the city. Thus, the proposed project for funding responds to Investment Priority 4e by promoting low-carbon strategies for all types of territories, in particular for urban areas, including the promotion of sustainable multimodal urban mobility and mitigation-relevant adaptation measures derived from supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy in all sectors.
