Arranging bicycle tracks, road bridge over the Someșul Mare River and asphalting streets in the town of Sîngeorz Băi

The overall objective of the project is to reduce carbon emissions in the city of Sîngeorz-Băi, based on the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan. The project contributes to the achievement of the general objective by: asphalt of category 4 streets; construction of a cycle path; construction of a bridge dedicated exclusively to cycle paths and pedestrian paths; purchase of an electric minibus; rehabilitation of the pedestrian walkway over the Someșul Mare River (which is the unfinished objective of this project); purchase of bicycles and construction of two stations for them. This project contributes through the specific activities and objectives set to the achievement of specific objective 3.2 of Investment Priority 4e, i.e. to promote low-carbon strategies for all types of territories, in particular for urban areas, including the promotion of sustainable multimodal urban mobility and mitigation-relevant adaptation measures. The project falls under the specific actions supported by Specific Objective 3.2 of the ROP 2014-2020 (cf. section 4.3.1.1 of the Specific Guide) as it covers the following categories of eligible activities: A. Investments aimed at improving urban public passenger transport 2. Purchase of buses B. Investments for electric and non-motorised transport 2. Construction/upgrading/extension of cycle paths 3. Creation/upgrade/extension of bicycle rental systems (bike-sharing, bike-rental systems) 4. Construction/upgrading/extension of pedestrian areas and routes (tototuaries) C. Other investments aimed at reducing CO2 emissions in urban area 1. Creation/upgrade/extension of traffic management systems, including video monitoring system, and other Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) 2. Construction/modernisation/rehabilitation of road infrastructure used as a priority by urban public passenger transport in order to reduce CO2-equivalent emissions from road transport
