The general objective of the project is to increase the accessibility of a special rural area of Cluj County – Drumul Bistriței – DJ 161, DJ 161G, DJ 172A, located close to the TEN-T network. Through the objective, the project falls under Priority Axis 6, Specific Objective 6.1. of the ROP, in the sense of increasing the accessibility of rural areas located close to the TEN-T network through the modernisation of county roads. The proposed project “Improving the road infrastructure of regional importance – Transilvania Nord Regional Trail, Bistriţei Road, by upgrading DJ 172A (km 33+ 000 – km 39+ 452), DJ 161G (km 0+ 000 per km 18+ 406) and DJ 161 (intersection DN 16)- Gădălin – Bonțida – DN 1C (km 0+ 000 – km 16+ 933,100)” comprises two technical documentations, for 2 road sectors, which make up the entire route, as follows: — COMPLEX FEZABILITY Study – elaborated according to GD 28/2008 of the investment objective "Improving road infrastructure of regional importance – Transylvania Nord Regional Trail, Bistrita Road: DJ 172A (limita jud. Bistrita-Năsăud – Taga) from km 33+ 000 to km 39+ 452 and DJ 161G (intersection DJ 109C) Sucutard-Petea-Palatca- DN16 from km 0+ 000-18+ 406”. — FEZABILITY Study – elaborated according to GD 28/2008 of the investment objective “Design and technical assistance services for the realisation of documentation related to DJ 161, part of the ROP 2014-2020 objective – Axis 6 – Improvement of regionally important road infrastructure – Transilvania Nord Regional Trail – Bistritei Road”. The aim of the project is to improve the relevant technical parameters (increase of load, speed, road safety) of the road sections included in Bistrita Road – DJ 172A (km 33+ 000 – km 39+ 452), DJ 161G (km 0+ 000 per km 18+ 406) and DJ 161 (intersection of DN 16)- Gădălin – Bonțida – DN 1C (km 0+ 000 – km 16+ 933,100). The needs definition was carried out on the basis of the identification of the current problems and malfunctions of the transport infrastructure, then linking them to the needs deriving from the expected economic growth in the coming years. The project aims to: • facilitating access to the region under normal conditions of comfort and security; • reduction of fuel consumption and hence the consumption of pollutants, i.e. reduction of pollutants; • improving local traffic conditions, i.e. ensuring that socio-economic activities in the area are carried out under normal conditions; • facilitating access to historical, cultural or recreational monuments in the area. The resulting economic, tourist and social benefits will increase the attractiveness of the rural areas crossed by stimulating sustainable development at regional level.
