The general objective of the project is to reduce carbon emissions in Cluj-Napoca, by purchasing and commissioning 8 trams, based on the approved Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan. The general objective of the project is achieved by replacing 8 old and polluting trams used in the urban passenger transport system with new, silent and high energy efficiency trams. This measure ensures an efficient public passenger transport service with increased comfort and reduces the number of journeys by private transport (cars) and as a consequence, and reduces CO2-equivalent emissions from transport.
