The general objective of the project is to reduce carbon emissions in Cluj-Napoca, by purchasing and commissioning 20 trolleybuses, based on the approved Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan. The overall objective of the project is achieved by replacing 20 old and polluting trolleybuses used in the urban passenger transport system by new, quiet and high energy efficient trolleybuses. This measure ensures an efficient public passenger transport service with increased comfort and reduces the number of journeys by private transport (cars) and as a consequence, and reduces CO2-equivalent emissions from transport.
