The general objective of the investment project is to carry out actions aimed at improving the urban environment in the Municipality of Dej by reconversion and refunctionalisation of unused land and degraded areas from Bungăr Forest. The general objective is linked and falls within the provisions of Priority Axis 5 of the Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020 and of the Investment Priority 5.2. The investment is likely, from this perspective, to benefit from non-repayable public allocations from the ERDF through the 2014-2020 ROP. The project proposes authorised interventions to transform Bungăr Forest from degraded space into an ensemble of leisure and leisure areas in a more varied and attractive way. For this we consider works aimed at making promenade pedestrian paths, running tracks, cycling, barbeque areas, areas for sports activities, areas for playground for children, inclusive for those with disabilities, etc. The entire arrangement was designed in order to functionally convert a degraded area in the recreational area, to signal the importance of urban and periurban green spaces in our lives and that of our children, to impose respect for the environment and especially for the efforts of the local community to apply the principles of sustainable development. Landscape planning for reconversion and refunctionalisation of Bungăr Forest was conceived in the idea of giving the Dej Municipality the opportunity to spend leisure time in a pleasant and healthy way in the middle of nature and also to recover an environmentally-advanced degraded area, whose destiny would have been slow and complete degradation. The reconversion and refunctioning works are proposed to be carried out on the total area of 17 ha of the site and all the fittings will be located within it, with the least invasive methods possible. It is specified that the area built, however, will not exceed 10 % of the total area of the green space, in compliance with the provisions of Law No 24 of 2007 on the regulation and administration of green spaces in urban areas, and the number of trees cut will be 68, according to the approval of the Environmental Protection Agency. General objective output indicator: “Open spaces created or rehabilitated in urban areas”, measured by summing up the areas of the project spaces (green spaces and/or urban streets and/or recreation areas), accessible to the public, created in the Bungăr Forest area, has a value of 170,000 sqm.
