The general objective of the project is to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Turda municipality through the rehabilitation of the cultural infrastructure, materialised in the modernisation and endowment of the theatre "Aureliu Manea-Turda until 2023. Thus, through the present project, the local public administration aims to rehabilitate, modernise and equip the Aureliu Manea Theatre – Turda" and the rehabilitation of the access road, namely the section of Castanilor Street between Avram Iancu Street and Barbu Lautaru Street, taking into account the current requirements/exingentities of theatre operation. Through the rehabilitation and refunctionalisation of the building Aureliu Manea Theatre in Turda, the City Hall envisages highlighting the indisputable historical and heritage value of the building, a testimony in the urban evolution of the city of Turda as well as preventing the slow degradation of the building. Thus, the overall objective of the project contributes to the development of tradition in contemporaryity, its valorisation in cultural life, stimulating the creative process in all artistic genres, researching and assessing the reality of the urban culture phenomenon, promoting traditional and contemporary culture goods in the national and international circuit of values contributing directly to the achievement of Specific Objective 13.1 Improving the quality of life of the population in small and medium-sized cities in Romania and Investment Priority 9b Providing support for physical, economic and social revitalisation of disadvantaged communities in urban and rural regions. The project is consistent with the specific objective of the Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020, Priority Axis 13: Supporting the regeneration of small and medium-sized cities and Specific Objective 13.1 Improving the quality of life of the population in small and medium-sized cities in Romania.
