General objective Improvement of educational infrastructure at the level of Gherla municipality, in order to increase the participation in compulsory education. Description The investment is intended for primary and secondary education, respectively students of the Secondary School No. 1, Gherla. Taking into account the Specific Objective 10.1 of Axis 10, i.e. increasing the level of participation in early education and compulsory education, especially for children at increased risk of early leaving the system, the project subject to this financing request will contribute to increasing the participation in compulsory education in Gherla municipality and reducing school drop-out due to the improvement of the infrastructure of Secondary School no.1 by: upgrading the building, improving its energy performance, supplementing the laboratories and equipping them, creating a reading room, building a sports hall at international standards. The sports activities that will be hosted by the gym will facilitate the development of cognitive and emotional capacity of students, contributing to the increase of performance in the learning process and to the improvement of the capacity of relation and social integration.
